Diana's listing presentation was excellent. She had up to the minute local knowledge of my area - not just about the "competition", but what things were happening in town and the immediate that would influence the market for my property. The other agents I interviewed presented the comps from the MLS but they couldn't talk with certainty about what local real estate activity was doing and how it i ...
mpacted me. During the listing period she educated me about the best way to stage my house making excellent suggestions about what furniture to use and how to place it. She also suggested the best way for me to make my house available to agents and their clients. She followed up every showing with feedback and made me feel very comfortable with the process. When we got several offers - after one weekend on the market - she really came through with her negotiation skills. What a pro! We ended up accepting an offer that day for $5000 over the listing price from a very qualified FHA buyer. When I asked if an FHA deal would be in my best interest she called the agent with the offer to find out about his buyer. She also called the agents with the other offers and let them know we had several offers and to find out if their clients wanted to sweeten their offers. She was excellent. During the final part of the process she kept me up to date with the escrow details. She even arranged for me to sign my closing papers with the escrow officer at Diana's office rather than my having to go into downtown Vancouver. She was a joy to work with, and I recommend her highly.
My place wasn't on the market very long, but Diana knew when the best time was for my listing to come out. She had the sign up and the flyers ready. She made sure the booties were available for people and that they had a comfortable place to sit to put their shoes back on. These little things make a big impact on buyers and their agents. I'm sure it helped people remember my house over others they had seen. Berkshire Hathaway has outstanding marketing support for their agents and I received several updates from the marketing department.
