Real estate has always been a family matter with Jonathan. Raised in Charles County, Jonathan had the benefit of learning the industry from his mother, a 20 year veteran of Southern Maryland real estate. Jonathan has been helping his clients buy and sell real estate since 2007. Along side his wife, Rayanne (whose mother was also a Realtor in Howard County), they continue the family business and are second generation real estate professionals who educate and support their local community. Jonathan holds a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation through the National Association of Realtors, which enables him to be a valuable resource for our clients who are downsizing. Rayanne holds a Bachelors of Science in Marketing, and is accredited with the Certified Staging Professional (CSP) designation and is a Certified Color Consultant with Sherwin Williams. Jonathan founded the SoMD Expert team in 2010 to change the way real estate is bought and sold by providing a unique concierge style service to his clients. In 2014, Jonathan was inducted into the Southern Maryland Association of Realtor’s Hall of Fame. He then went on to create The Benya Group in 2015 which blended the client-centric focus with stronger client education. Our clients tell us being informed helps them make confident real estate decisions. And they are always blown away at how beautifully their home is presented when listed. Our greatest reward is the excitement we see from our clients on closing day!
